Luckily, Word&rsquo;s Reveal Formatting feature can help you ferret out any discrepancies.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"entry\" align=\"justify\">\n<hr width=\"100%\" size=\"2\" \/><\/h3>\n<p class=\"entry\" align=\"justify\">Both of the headings on the page are formatted in the Heading 1 style, so why don&rsquo;t they look alike? Rather than try to guess what the differences are, use Reveal Formatting and have Word figure it out for you. Follow these steps:<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry\" align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Open the document.<\/li>\n<li>Select one of the two headings.<\/li>\n<li>Press Shift + F1.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Compare To Another Selection check box in the Reveal Formatting pane (<strong>Figure A<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Figure A<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/i.techrepublic.com.com\/gallery\/208713-500-274.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"500\" height=\"274\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">Select the second heading.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\">Word will display the formatting differences in the task pane.
