{"id":382,"date":"2008-05-21T10:01:58","date_gmt":"2008-05-21T15:01:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alsplace.aldenbaker.com\/alsplace\/microsoft\/ms-office\/ms-powerpoint\/382\/just-give-it-a-nudge\/"},"modified":"2008-05-21T10:01:58","modified_gmt":"2008-05-21T15:01:58","slug":"just-give-it-a-nudge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alsplace.info\/?p=382","title":{"rendered":"Just Give It a Nudge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<!-- ALL ADSENSE ADS DISABLED -->\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>When working in MS PowerPoint, are you frequently frustrated when you try to move objects just a wee little bit?<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>I mean, you&#39;re only trying to nudge the text box or graphic a small amount, but every time you try to drag and drop it with the mouse, it just goes too far.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>A solution for that predicament certainly would come in handy, wouldn&#39;t it?! <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>Fortunately, I&#39;ve got one that&#39;s easy to use and remember! <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>First, <strong>select the object<\/strong> to be moved. (If it&#39;s a text box, be sure you have just the text box itself selected and make sure the cursor isn&#39;t inside the text box for editing).<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>Ready to move? Good! It goes quick, so pay attention. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>Simply <strong>tap an arrow key<\/strong> to move the selected object just a nudge in any of the four directions.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>Also, as a bonus, I found that holding down the <strong>Ctrl key while using an arrow key<\/strong> makes the nudge even smaller.<\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>That&#39;s all there is to it! <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>With the object selected, one press of an arrow key moves it just the tiniest amount. You can use this tip for that too. <\/font><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><font>Instead of a quick tap, <strong>hold down the arrow key<\/strong>.
