To prevent users from trying to enter data, you&rsquo;d like no focus placed on any of the form controls. One way to do this is to create an unbounded text box, resize it so it&rsquo;s barely visible, and then place it first in the tab order.<\/p>\n<p class=\"entry\" align=\"justify\">Follow these steps:<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry\" align=\"justify\">\n<ol>\n<li>Open the form in Design view.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Text Box control tool.<\/li>\n<li>Click and drag to create a small text box control below the last control in the form.<\/li>\n<li>Delete the text box label.<\/li>\n<li>Right-click the text box and select Properties to display the Properties box, if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Format tab in the Properties box.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n<p align=\"justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/i.techrepublic.com.com\/gallery\/198197-256-226.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"256\" height=\"226\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">Click in the Width property box and enter <em>.00001<\/em>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">Click in the Height property box and enter <em>.00001<\/em>.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\">The resultant text box is shown below.<\/p>\n<h4 align=\"justify\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/i.techrepublic.com.com\/gallery\/198198-340-304.png\" border=\"0\" width=\"340\" height=\"304\" \/><\/h4>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">In Access 2007, click the Arrange tab in the Form Design tools group.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div align=\"justify\">In the Control layout group, select Tab Order.
